TOTAL VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (TVDP)   48 comments

Welcome Guest! Welcome to AGRO-BIOGENICS,

Working toward mitigation of Global Warming and Poverty (GWP), reducing the gap between “rich” and “poor” … with ultimate Objective of Providing decent Livelihood Earnings to every able bodied man/woman in villages

We do not follow, copy or mimic any so-called “State-of-the-Art” technology and also do not consider the same as relevant in India’s context. India has over 638,000 Villages where 900 million people live, and where almost all our non-forest Renewable Resources are available. To us, the contention that an alien technology (which are mostly developed in Temperate Zone climatic conditions of the Western world), could be “adapted” to suit our condition is NOT acceptable. We would even go to the extent of “reinventing the wheel” if it is warranted to suit to our Local Needs and Conditions. We call up on Entrepreneurs/ Universities/ R & D Institutions for Joint Ventures that would utilize AVAILABLE RENEWABLE RESOURCES (Plants/ vegetation/ Animal matter/ Food wastes/ Organic Wastes

Let us consider how India, with a total population of 1360 million (in which over 950 million are living in villages), could develop into a real Developed Nation

India has 641 Districts, 3342 sub-Districts (named TALUKAs), and 638,596 villages.

  6. Resp. Sir I know percapita can increase ONLY when there are sufficient works that are based on Value additions for Local resources. but as we know our 60-70% population are also working in Ag. field but maximum former are not satisfied from their production or income because he have no proper idea & planning , so I think if we motivate & better plan for Ag. they can increase their income & they will be satisfied from their work . We can proposed for them horticulture , dairy, goatry , vegetable production, etc but for this they have no proper idea, necessary resources or equipment & money. If we support them for proper idea, necessary resources or equipment & money they will be survive & increase their per capita income. This type activities will support to that family & environment also .

  9. Resp. Friend
I,m Manoj Kumar Pandey from Allahabad U.P. . I,m P.G. in Social Work(MSW) and working in Rural Development sector from last 11 year. I have been worked on INHP -II Phase of CARE, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene Project of WaterAid , Present time I,m working as Project Officer/Team Leader on Deptt. of Rural Dev. Govt. of M.P. in Integrated Watershed Management from Sept. 2006. so I know very well about TVDP. I can say without any hesitation that we can,t plan Total Village Dev. Programme. as a ideal or model plan I think without visit of that village we can,t asses their problem. I think for this plan first we select our village and through SWOT analysis /PRA / LFA / Net Planning we go to best plan for that village. Our roll model plan is a basic problem for Rural Development .
    Thanks with Regard

    • Dear Manoj Kumar Pandey, while many systems of Rural projects such as water shed management, health programs, nutritional programs and education/capacity buildng are being organized by both Government arrangement and through various CSR activities (apart from very many NGO’s working on them), the single biggest problem in Villages is: PERCAPITA INCOME/ Enhancement of Livelihood benefits. Our observations so far is that the average incomes in village regions in India are very very low … as low as Rs.6,000 percapita. This has to be raised to not less than Rs.30,000. One Objective of TVDP is to try and do that. We invite you to visit our Village work area in Karnataka, in Pandavapura Taluk, Mandya District. Contact the signatory over E-mail: pvhramani@yahoo.com … You are welcome to SEE what is happening at our area. Best wishes

      • with regard I real appreciate and I know its possible by best planning & proper implementation, I, have also some plan and idea,s for poor, productivity enhancement in Ag. livelihood, micro enterprises, etc. which can execute n give better result for growth of PER CAPITA INCOME .
        THANKS WITH REGARD
        MANOJ KR. PANDEY

  15. Dear HPV,
We have already interacted on the issue. I have to say you that, I have a network of farmers of 125 villages in Bolangir district of odisha. How can we start this programme there ?Explain me in details .

  16. Hello ! Shri Hariharan I am really impressed with what you are doing. I live in Malaysia and am a mechanical engineer trained in Germany. I have 46 years of experience in the engineering field and am very keen to develop the backward Indian villages in terms of water, sanitation, energy and most importantly food security. I note that most of the poor India do not own land, so growing food on their own poses a problem. I would like you to help me introduce growing their food in containers or pots or even in rejected bags in their own homes. This will ensure availablity of food in their iown homes always. No hazzle with irrigation problems, high doses of costly fertilsers, costly labour, supervision, hassles of crop failiure due to drought and floods etc. Very little space is required as the vegetables are grown in containers.I have several ideas on energy generation, water generation etc in villages
I would like to work with you, if it is possible
    Please reply..
    Thank you

    • Hello Dr. TC Chandran… Thank you for your interest in Village development works. Please note that the Problem is NOT food or other such things… but that of creating enhancement of PER-CAPITA income in the Villages such that no villager has to go away from the Villages in search of Jobs and livelihood. For example, we now work in an region called MANDYA of Karnatak State, and specifically in a sub-division area called Pandavapura Taluk. The average income of most Farm families in this region could be categorized into Two: One set of “higher” income farmers who earn over Rs.60,000 per annum and the other less than Rs.30,000 per annum. However, it is strange that almost all these categories of farmers have sufficient Food for their livelihood. These are grown by themselves. The low percapita makes them vulnerable in that they are unable to afford modern services such as Latest Medicines, Transportation, Sanitation, Water, Schools, Colleges and so on. By merely enhancing Food production the income may become lesser as the Prices of commodities would come down. This aspect also is seen in many areas as and when the annual crop is excellent!. we are working on systems that would answer this Problem of Per-capita, through a New paradigm of Creating High Value products using Agrowastes and other weeds/ vegetation matter… Please see: http://agrobiogenicscleantechpvtltd.com/alternate-engineering-materials/
